3 ways to earn more points with Mi Rewards

If you love to shop local and support the businesses where you live, chances are you’ve already signed up to Mi Rewards. With Mi Rewards, every time you grab a coffee with a friend, pop into that indie boutique to choose a present for a friend, or book tickets for a show, you’re earning points. And those points can win you some awesome prizes, from local treats to big ticket items like an Ooni pizza oven or a Lay-Z-Spa! Every 10 points is one entry into the prize draw, so the more points you earn, the more chances you have to win. Ready to rack up even more points? Here’s how:

Link more cards

This one is what’s known as an easy win. Mi Rewards work through the regular cards that you use to pay on a day to day basis. Link them to Mi Rewards online or through the app, and you get rewarded every time you hand that card over with a registered business. No need to scrabble about in your wallet or purse for a loyalty card. So, if you’ve only registered one of your payment cards, get the rest of them registered too. It’ll take you minutes and could win you a lot.

Choose local

Shopping local isn’t about a huge shopping spree once a year, it’s about the small actions you take day in and day out. The choice to visit your local town or city instead of elsewhere. The choice to support your local hard working makers and producers instead of going online. And those choices can mean prizes. Think of Mi Rewards as a ‘thank you’ for supporting local. Best of all, the more you shop local, the more rewards you’ll receive.

Discover new local businesses to spend in

How many times have you walked past a business and thought ‘I really must go in there’ but never got around to it? Sometimes it’s easier to do the same things, and go to the same places and not really discover what’s on your doorstep. The good thing about Mi Rewards is that it could encourage you to get out exploring. Take a look at the businesses who are part of your local Mi Rewards and challenge yourself to try just one new business you’ve never been in before. You could find a new favourite. And remember, you’ll be picking up points as you discover your local area.
